    if you are upto your only one or a few website for you portfolio then there is not need to learn coding/designing, because you just need to under the wix or wordpress utilization for your needs, that i think you already know how to build website on wix or wordpress. even if you move from free wix or wordpress blog to you own hosted domain still you can manage you site easily

    go for word press where you can find many plugins which is user friendlyand i m using wordpress for an year till now i dint find flaws.
