    "Intermediate" Website

    Hi there,

I was hoping to get some help and opinions.
My company has a website that was built in 2013, it is very dated looking and is not responsive at all, which is unacceptable for a HR Tech company. Unfortunately our branding has been due to change for 1.5 years and so I haven't been able to change it. There have been thoughts around our office lately to have a temporary website that is very basic, modern and most importantly, responsive, in the meantime while we figure out our branding (hopefully known by Ocotber - yet development will be later in the year).

I am in two minds as to whether this is a smart or very dumb idea and was hoping for some input from anyone willing to help.

    Thanks so much!!

Is the company website informational only? Or is it a dynamic site of products, forms, etc?

It is predominantly informational with some forms such as registration for training days etc. and sample pdf downloads

I'll answer your question with a question: what percentage of your traffic comes from mobile devices?

Throw up a responsive single page site with company info and pdf files. Work on the new site on the side.

It may not be worthwhile to bother, at least not at this stage. If the site is still generating leads/sales, then it's usually best not to screw with it...especially if the site doesn't have a lot of mobile traffic. Mind you, it may also not have a lot of mobile traffic because it isn't mobile-friendly, depending on what it is that they're doing.
