    graceful degredation and images

    I have seen on some sites when resizing, the images shrink, but keep the same ratio for height and width, anyone know how its done?

    By using the image width and height tags (not the CSS style attributes for width and height), along with code along these lines:
    Code:
    img {max-width: 100%; height: auto;}
    Mind you, this isn't always a wise idea, particularly if you're referring to high-resolution images. The file size of those images can be a problem for those on cell phones with cell phone ISP bandwidth.
