    memory and ram

    can someone describe the process of loading binary memories from a harddisk to a ram memory. how does that compute to data being shown on a screen?

    It has nothing to do with data being shown on a screen.

    Data goes back and forth from RAM to DISK constantly.

    The executing programs determine what is on the screen, and yes, there are many programs running at the same time.

    The video processor has it's own RAM ... it operates as it's own CPU (processor) and has it's own firmware (software).

    So is the video processor responsible for putting things on screen? Or is that the graphics cards job?

    The graphics card has a video processor, or is the video processor. I guess I mean the same thing.

    That's why gamers buy the PC's with the more expensive, super fast graphics cards. They also contain a lot of memory on-board.
