    running php

    So i downloaded wamp, and I'm trying to get the following to run in my browser

    <!doctype html>
    <html lang="en">

    <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">
    <title>php lab</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/style.css">
    </head>

    <body>
    <div id="page">
    <main>
    <article>
    <h1>Task 1, php version</h1>
    <p><?php echo phpinfo(); ?></p>
    </article>
    </main>
    </div>
    </body>

    </html>
    but apparently its not as simple as just opening with a web browser. how can i get it to run? basically what I'm doing is some simple php tasks for college like get php version etc...

    Did you name your script with a .php extension, like test.php

    Is PHP installed with all of your server stuff?

    You should be using a web browser.

    You need to drop it in the folder that pages are served from. IIRC, it's www.

    Then, you'll go to http: / / localhost
