    Banklinks, dangerous or essential?

I have just got back from a lovely meeting with some friends who, to be fair, are pretty smart chaps. We laughed through banter about pretty much every subject without so much as a raised pulse from anybody.

A pleasant time was interrupted when the topic of using and setting up website backlinks came up - toys were thrown out of prams, dummies were spat out and some good friendships are now under strain.

    What is your opinion?

    Matt

I have no opinion ... they could be good, or bad depending on which websites they appear. This website is a "no-follow" site, so for example, your photography site link that you entered will never be a back link and has no affect on SEO. There are many sites that do the same thing. So many crappy web designers spent so much time to get back links to their sites ... It's just a waste of time. That's why Google puts less importance on back links.

The only "valid" back links might be sites that are related in content. I would suggest that porn sites that back link to your photography site might be dangerous. It's not necessarily as good a thing as SEO scammers make it out to be.

i get dozens of emails from so-called SEO experts that say they can get my site on google top 10 ranking. Anyone can do that for free if they make websites with good content. It's mostly scammers trying to rip off people.
