    Web page won't display

I manage a small website for our high school association. I have the website stored on my Desktop and use Filezilla.

I have created a web page that displays the members who have died. I a button when clicked should display the members who have died by year in a pdf file, as you can see in the example below. But I can't get the page to display. I'm sure the problem is the Deaths folder isn't being recognized because the website is located on my desktop. I've searched the Internet and have tied various combinations of dots and backslashes but nothing works.

    <a href="Deaths/Year/1949.pdf"><img src="Buttons/Year/49.gif" width="45" height="43" alt="" title="" border="0" /></a>

Can someone please tell me what I need to place before the Deaths folder to get this to display?

    Thanks,

    Paul

You probably have to reference the paths something like this:

    file:///C://mydirectory/photos/myphoto.jpg

Whatever path of directories you have.
