Question About Displaying Database Info on Webpage

Hello, I am building a webpage for a client that is interested in distributing Certificates of Authenticitie (COA) to customers who send him sports memorabilia. He would like the customer to be able to punch in a number he gives them on the COA into the webpage and have the page display info about the item from a database he updates. What would be the best way to do this? Thank you in advance!

For reference, here is a company that does a similar service.

That's done using PHP and SQL/PDO database. But the main question is how you are building the website. Are you doing it all by hand, are you using WordPress, or using some online builder such as WIX, Weebly, or Square?

Also does your client already have a business in place where they have all the label/containers that have the "fugitive ink", the graphics etc. like the example you've shown? Or are they starting from square one?

There is a lot more to your project than just the certificate part. You need a user/member register, login, perhaps the shopping cart, inventory control, customer status pertaining to items they send in, etc. Unless of course, your client already has an existing website and you're updating it?
