how to create interactive virtual tour?

Hello everyone, hope you are all safe and healthy!

I've been tasked with finding an easy way to create an interactive virtual tour, using Matterport scans, but other overlayed elements as well, very much like what youvisit.com creates, like this: https://www.newhaven.edu/admissions/...it/virtual.php

This will be for a museum, to have a virtual tours, that will have tickets for sale for the tours.

I'm sooooo hoping there is a Wordpress plugin that will allow this to happen, particularly using the Matterport scans, with the overlaying of a tour guide. Matterport 3D tours are embeddable with iframes. I know there is a plugin called ipanoramic 360, but it's just a 360, not a Matterport 3D tour, but it's almost close.

Thank you all for any info you have!

    Christine

As far as I can tell, you can't host your own matterport 3d. It has to be hosted by them and then you use an iframe to put on your site. You have to pay for hosting also (like $10 per month?). There are help pages on their site that explain the thoughts behind using their own hosting ... and yes, it seems like people are not happy that they don't have control over the experience.

Thank you for your response. Yes, I know they have to host it. I have many tours already created. I'm not looking to self host, I'm just looking to expand the overlays to include more interactivity like a tour guide, etc... The closest thing I've found is MPEmbed.com. I was hoping to find out how EAB (youvisit.com) is creating their virtual tours like in the one I referenced above:

    https://www.newhaven.edu/admissions/...it/virtual.php

But with MP, and without having to write and code it from scratch.

I guess I don't have enough experience in this particular area (virtual tours).
Hopefully someone else can answer this.
