Help With Capstone

Hello,

I am taking a web design course on coursera and have gotten to the capstone project, but I'm having issues with making my website. I want to use a template and then play around with the color scheme, images, and shapes, but the amount of code on screen ends up overwhelming me and causing me to lose motivation. Would someone be able to help walk me through the process? I'll link the template I want to use as well as my sketches for the desktop and mobile views I made. Please respond if you can help me.
