can I put html, css and javascript in a child theme, if I wanted to build a clock..

Can I put html, css and javascript with a child theme, if example. I wanted to build a clock that needed html, css and javascript.
Would I put them in seperate files. like, would I put the css in the style.css file, then which file would I put the javascript. Do all the languages have to be put in seperate files, or is there a way to put all three coding languages in one file for the clock.
If anybody can advise me here.
    thanks.

It depends on where the clock appears. In the header of every page, the body, or specific pages.
