I'm trying to sort out my text. I've just started using Dreamweaver MX and whenever I write text in a textbox I can't space it out properly. I'd like for my text to look similar to a word document (when you press enter in a word document the cursor moves to the next line; when you do this using html, you effectively move 2 lines down). How can I make it sothat if I write an address, for example:

    23 Sam St
    Samsville
    Samcity

    it doesn't turn out as:

    23 Sam St

    Samsville

    Samcity

I'm sure this is very simple, but as a newcomer I thought it'd be better to ask it here than tear my hair out trying to work it out.

    Thanks

    Sam

When you press 'Enter', hold shift as well: 'Shift' & 'Enter' - this will produce the formatting you require

That will work, more specificly the code you are using when pressing just "enter" is <p></p> (Paragraph) and when using "shift + enter" you are using <br> (line break)

Thanks guys. I'd used HTML many years ago & have since shed all but the basics . I couldn't remember what the tag was for a line break and now I know. This is most helpful so thank you for answering such a simple question.
