Time Gone By was just going to be a section on my site but after having posted the above mentioned I thought it would be better to give each section its own theme instead of just one theme for the entire site. So this is a rough draft of the first section

'Tis nice. I'd like to see the title "Time Gone By" in the top banner / graphic though. Also, the navigation seems a bit out of place - the main text is perfect though.

I plan on putting "Time Gone By" in the top banner, I just haven't decided how I want to do that yet.

I'm not wild about the background image. It tiles, although in a subtle manor. The banner image is cool, but the mansion looks heavily photoshopped. For color scheme help, check the link in my profile.

It s good, but I agree with splufdaddy about the background image. The banner could do with the site title in it, using some form of special effects.

I assume you are refering to the yellow background. I was trying to get an older feel going for the site but so far I don't think anybody has liked it. So I think its going to be changed.

Suggestions please! Is too small, or should I just go with a different font.

Added the site title to the header. Also made the background behind the layout darker to make the page itself stand out more. Still working on the menu.

This background is worse IMO. It's too busy and it's the first thing I focus on, instead of your actual site. Any background image you use is going to tile, and tiling background images look very 1995-ish. You're better off going with a solid color or a gradient.

There got rid of the background tile. It is now just a light blue color.
