    Hello All Im A noob here But heres my question


    How do you do vertical layout expansion when you click on links.

    When i try it the layout the images get brocken up. Heres a site where it has what i wants

    see how the news makes the content expand and when you click contact us its retracts.

    I hope that you can help me im not sure if im clear enough

    Not 100% sure if I understand currectly, but the 'expansion' you are reffering to is caused because the news section is much larger then the contact us section, and the browser will adjust automatically.

    If you are reffering as to why both pages are the same file (index2.php) and can expand/contract, that is a discussion about php.

    but when i try that the images in my layouts table get all messed up cause thers to much inside and i dont want to use an inline frame. But i kno about the php part. DO you kno a tutorial on how to do that border thing

    The news section stretches automatically because of the size of the cells within it. There is NO code that does this, all web browsers do it automatically. It has nothing to do do with images.

    You can't use images to expand the area of your content like that, and your background won't be "tiling" properly so it will look stupid.

    ahh i get it now im workin on just a css layout with only a few images like the header footer and navigation but the body will be css for each page
