    Hi all,

Whats the trick to do this? i.e. I would rather tell people to goto mywebpage.com/aboutme instead of mywebpage.com/aboutme.htm

I know it seems a easy one but I cant find the answer anywhere

You have to use ModRewrite for this in your .htaccess file.

But why do you want to get rid of .htm or .html?

The way I would do this is to find out from the system admin what the default page name loaded. In most cases it is index.htm or index.html

Then create a directory named aboutme, so the full url would be http;//mywebpage.com/aboutme/ when the visitor enters the directory the page with the default name will be loaded.

For those on Windows NT, a custom 404 will accomplish the same purpose.
