I'd like to disable a link on my page until my sponsors banner is clicked. So for example there would be a message on the page like: "Please click on my sponsors banner before viewing the file".

Then, after my sponsors banner is clicked the link is enabled and the file can be viewed.

Not sure how to go about it though. Thanks in advance for any help.

That idea will turn users away from your site. Maybe you should think of an alternative.

Yep, that's spamming, and you should avoid that methods.

Thank you for your replies - but...

Thank you for your comments, I understand that some people will be turned off by having to click on the sponsors banner but as long as they do so voluntarily i don't see any ethical dilema.

If someone can help me out with the code I'd be very grateful.
