    Hi,

I am having problems in DW to position my layers correctly on the page. For some reason, layers have to be positioned as absolute for DW to recognize them as "layer", but this way i cannot position them correctly. Is there a way to get around that? I was told to use an extension from ProjectSeven (Snap Layers), but it doesnt seem to work and there site is currently down.

    Thanks alot!!

    Matt

Alas.. the dreamweaver CSS positioning bug strikes again!! This probably causes more frustration to dreamweaver users than any other quark the program has..

I have written a few answers to this question so I will direct you to one post in perticular..
    Scrolling tables?

Also do a search for more assistance.

yes.. although I am a fan of P7 their extentions produce bloated code, as do most dreamweaver extentions. I personally would not recommend them unless you know what the extention is putting in your markup and how to alter it in case of problems.

NOTE: I have always advocated that dreamweaver(and its extentions) is a web developer/designers tool. It is not a replacement for skill.

works fine now, however i'm curious why i cant get the Snap Layers function to work.
I want to attach a layer to an image. So i gave the image a name with id="", and then went to behaviours to add the Snap Layers. However when i hover my mouse over the word that had the behaviour assigned to it, nutting is displayed.
What am i doing wrong here?
