    Using the following code in my CSS script. Shows fine in IE but not NS.7.1 or Mozilla Firefox.

    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

    .borders {
    border-right-color: #6699CC;
    border-left-color: #6699CC;
    border-left-style: solid;
    border-right-style: solid;
    border-right-width: 1px;
    border-left-width: 1px;
    padding-right: 20px;
    padding-left: 20px;}

    Is the page online that we can look at? What sort of error are you getting, or rather what isn't working?

    yes a link or at least your source code is needed to properly assess your problem since a display error is a subjective judgment since only you know what you want it to look like.

    But I will take a premature swing at this and make a suggestion since padding and borders are involved. Does the element show up too wide/big in NS and Firefox? If so, first check if you have a DOCTYPE properly declaired at the top of your document, then do some reasearch into the box model hack..

    You might hit yourself after reading this but dont..
    HTML Code:
    BODY {
    		background: #6699CC;
    		font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif ;
    		font-size: 8pt;
    		color: #003366;}
    		p.normal {font-weight: normal}
    		p.thick {font-weight: bold}
    		p.thicker {font-weight: 900}
    	}
    that last closing brace is causing the screw up.. it is not paired with anything else witch is causing flaws that firefox is catching that IE does not. Take it out and it should work.

    That's it

    thanks, glyakk

    I'll just give myself a mild spanking..

    I just love Firefox's validate CSS feature either for on-line or off-line files ..now I know what the error message: Line: 0 Parse error - Unrecognized : } was refering to.

    It's a great way to learn CSS
