    umm...how do you get a title logo. i.e. yahoo's site has that y! logo google has that big G in the title bar. oh wait apparently it's not in the title bar it's in the tab bar (i'm using firefox)

    Those are called favicons. I haven't researched them in a long time, but the way mine are set up is to put this in the <head> tag:

    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" />

    You probably actually want a "type" attribute in there too, but the validator hasn't complained yet.

    The image should be in .ico format and named favicon.ico in order for the majority of browsers to pick it up. This works for me in IE, Opera, and Firefox.
