    Howdy, Haven't been here for awhile, and done much in webdesign for almost 6 months i'd say. Trying to remeber some CSS stuff.
    First off here our is my html file and css file

    www.deathbyspork.net/all.css
    http://deathbyspork.net/testing.html

    My first question is about compatability. In IE, the property height: 100% with the side borders is not working properly, in mozilla it does. Any idea on how to fix that?

    My second issue is id like to adjust the position of the blue
    box. If tried adjusting the margin of the "header" div. But that moves the the "test" div too. I tried setting the position to absolute, all to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Im just trying to set margin: 10px; on the BLUE header ONLY. Thanks again

    height:100% doesn't work uniformly across platforms - ditch it and dont' rely on it. Although, your links are broken right now, so I can't say much about a blue box

    dump the height 100% nothing but problems there. if i understand right you want it to look like it takes the full height of the page. in firefox with the 100% you loose the background when the page scrolls down. i recommend taking a thin image of the background. the dark grad the light gray left and right border and using it as a background image.. like so

    body{
    background-image:url("yourbackgroundimage.gif");
    background-position:center;
    background-repeat:repeat-y;
    }

    then dump the background for your container. this will requier tweaking but its a start.
