Post pretty much says it, <option disabled="disabled">value</option> isn't working in my multiple select box. W3C says it's valid but it doesn't work in ie and even firefox treats it buggy. Am I doing something wrong or should I find another way to do it?

Find another way to do it - this is something that is poorly implemented in current browsers.
