    HTML Code:
    #footer a:link, #footer a:visited{
    color: #f1f1f1;}

    #footer a:hover{
    color: #000000;}
    Further down my CSS doc:
    HTML Code:
    a:link, a:visited {
    color: #798a82;
    text-decoration: none;}

    a:hover {
    color: #798A82;
    text-decoration: none;
    background-color: #F1F1F1;}
    It seems that the background-color of the hover still applies to the footer's hover. How do I get rid of it?

    Insert background: transparent; for your footer hover.
