Well there are a lot of languages used on World Wide Web for scripting and programming. But I was wondering how many are those, so I decided to post a new thread to confirm my knowledge about these languages. Here is my list:
    1) HTML (of course the basic)
    2) DHTML
    3) Java
    4) C (Sharp)
    5) ASP
    6) ASP.NET
    7) Cold Fusion
    8) PHP
    9) JSP
    10) Perl
    11) WML
    12) XML
    13) XHTML
Any body has more info. If yes please share!

dhtml isn't so much a language as it is bad use of javascript. Hovering ad boxes gave it a bad name.

hey, you can add that javascript to the list

css is a language is it not? and dhtml is not really bad utilization of javascript. hovering ad boxes are not all that dhtml can do. take a look at gmail for an example. gmail uses a lot of dhtml and asynchronous javascript with xml (ajax). even the way forums post emoticons into the textbox ure typing into is dhtml.

I agree with you about DHTML But I am not sure that CSS is a language.

dhtml is not a language, but a marketing gimick/phrase invented by Netscape and Microsoft. It's really combination of javascript and css, usually used to serve up inline popups that don't get blocked by popup blockers. Xml/javascript, or ajax conforms to w3c standards, while "dhtml" does not.

What about the presentation sides of XML?

XSLT, for instance, or XMLSchema... DTDs...

If you are going to list C# and ASP.NET then you also need to list the other .NET languages; for instance VB.NET, J# etc.

You've listed DHTML (rightly, or wrongly) but you haven't actually listed Javascript as a language... you should also list VBScript (Microsoft abomination as it is) and AJAX, potentially...
