    I have css that makes text over effects.

    *See iamge*

    In the css I have vertical-align: middle;
    and the height: 24; (which is the total hight so the hover will span the full space in height. But when I do this it aligns the text to the top.

    Vertical alignment only applies to block-level elements such as DIVs and TDs, not inline ones such as hyperlinks. Your best bet would be to do something like this:
    Code:
    DIV (or TD).Menu {
    height:  24px;
    vertical-align:  middle;
    }
    Then put your link inside of the DIV/TD.

    So do I put
    DIV.Menu {
    height: 24px;
    vertical-align: middle;
    }
    In my style, and put the links within a <div> and </div>

    That'd be the plan, Stan.

    It won't work if your A.link {height:24px} is still set.

    Remove any "height" or "width" specifiers for Anchor elements. Those won't work for Netscape, anyway.

    It seemes to allign to the center, but I want the highlight to hilight the full height of the nav table.

    Arunan: it sounds like what you want is to highlight the entire table cell itself. That's really only done through a combination of JavaScript and CSS. I'm assuming of course what you want is similar to what's on Transio's website (I'd show you a sample of my own, but my two best ones are sites that are still under construction/redesign.)

    By the way, transio, you're missing a period at the end of your first paragraph on your opening page.
