    Hey im kind of a newbie, please try and help..

    I want something like this..

    to see what i mean..just check out the URL: <-- here whenever u move ure mouse cursor over links such as Facult&Staff, Courses etc.. a list of sublinks are displayed.

    Can anyone tell me how to do that? what do i need to learn ? can it be done using plain HTML?

    Well that is achieved by HTML and JavaScript.

    The HTML defines how the horizontal bar will appear in a browser, and the JavaScript handles showing the sub-links.

    <A HREF="#" onmouseout="overmenu=0; menutimeout('faculty')" onmouseover="hideMenu(); popup('faculty'); swap_img('faculty'); overmenu=1;"><IMG NAME="faculty" SRC="topNavImages/facultyOFF.gif" WIDTH=91 HEIGHT=22 BORDER=0 ALT="Faculty and Staff"></A></TD>
    I am unsure if you have JS experience, but what that is saying is when the user mouses over (the mouse cursor goes over) the image, to do 4 things.

    1: call the function hideMenu();
    2: call the function popup(); with the argument faculty
    3: call the function swap_img again with the argument faculty
    4: Assign the variable overmenu a value of 1.

    These are found all over the web, if you would like to look for one, try

    Hope this helps
