    Anyone knows of an HTML editor which works on both IE and firefox ?

    A what that does what?!

    A html editor will edit html files, and once you upload them, these changes will be shown in both IE and FF all being well.

    Is that what you mean?

    Thanks for the quick reply. I've got a form for posting articles and I need to make that textbox having controls like bold, italic (i.e the editor). The purpose is to have all the HTML tags added to the article by the editor also adding the escape characters so that if someone posts an article, I don't have to edit it again. I actually use a script but it only works on IE and does not work on firefox.

    Well I guess thats a problem with the script.. if it posts to a database and you convert the html characters to the ascii counterparts.. all should be well..
