    I am designing this site for myself and i am trying to make the scroll bar disapear on the side and only go in the content part...
    it works in firefox beta 2 but not in IE...
    Can any of you figure out the problem?
    heres the code...

    The scroll bar is always present in IE.

    There might be some swanky Javascript to do it, but I don't know any off the top of my head. So the simple answer is no.

    i always used :
    [minicode]BODY {overflow:hidden;}[/minicode]
    works great in Firefox in Netscape i personnally think IE is non-standered it self anyway agree?

    pyro we tried that coding and it didn't work...and i want my site totaly valid...so i guess its....no

    There's a trick I used to use whereby you set all of the colours of scroll bar to the background color like so:

    # scrollbar-highlight-color: #fff;
    # scrollbar-arrow-color: #fff;

    }
    I'm pretty sure it works with IE - in fact it might only work with IE.

    in *theory* that should just turn your scrollbar white - just change the colours to whatever you want. If I've left anything out then you can probably google for it.
