    I have a gradient image created in photoshop that starts with a maroon and blends to a brown. The image height is 600 px. I set it as my background image and it works OK. But when it gets to the end of the bottom color of the gradient it starts over again. I want it to blend into the brownish and show the brown portion the rest of the way to the bottom of the screen, that way no matter the resolution they gradient image never repeats vertically, only horizontally. Can someone please tell me how to do that??

    Try this css to style the body element:

    Code:
    body { background: #000000 url(yourimage.jpg) repeat-x; }
    Be sure to replace the "#000000" with the hex code for your maroon color.

    Yup and make sure to change #000000 to brown!
