    Hello all.

    I am trying to make a newsletter in which there are anchor points which makes you "jump" a lower section of the page.

    The link looks like
    <a href="#item1">bla</a>
    And the target, which is on the same page, looks like
    <a name="item1">

    When I test this in my browser it works nice, but as soon as I send it to myself in an email, and I try it in the email (with Outlook Express), the link opens in a new page instead of jumping to it on the page itself.

    I know I should be doing something with mhtml:mid or something like that, but I have NO IDEA how to do this. Can anyone please clearly tell me how to achieve this?
    Thanks a bunch.

    Dr.Mad,

    To be honest with you most of the newsletter's that I've been subscribed to, they typically open new windows to view the newsletter, then the target links work. Newsletters sent thru Outlook and Yahoo! Mail and many others work the exact same way. I'm not entirely sure if there is a work around for this, but most likely no.

    I am not sure if that is the proper use of the <a>.

    Try this:
    Keep the original [minicode]<a href="#item1">Item 1</a>[/minicode]

    At the target location, put this in:
    HTML Code:
    <div id="item1"><br />blah blah blah all about item 1...</div>
    You might notice that I placed a <br> inside the div, this is not necessary, but... when you click the top line of the page and the top of the div target will be the same point. So, if you put a break in, there is a touch of space between the top of the screen and the content.

    I have an eye for detail like you'd never believe.
