    notice the nav bar
    it looks *ok* but I want the links centered on the bar... and I am at a loss of how to do it. I have done all I know how to do.

    I could use another pair of eyes...

    many thanks

    my advice is remove all the ul's and li's and replace them with divs. it will work that way. i do not know why, but the ul seems to have this block of emptiness in front of it which cannot be removed. when u set the text-align of the ul to left, it will not start at the beginning of the ul, but some distance away from it. im baffled how u managed that.

    Thanks for taking the time to reply, Hyperair. Your suggestion made me think of what I was doing to ul's - and I had an indent set for them! so, I took that off and that fixed it! Thanks for your suggestion!

    indent meaning float:right? by the way.. i checked your stylesheet.. and the "float" attribute can only have attributes left,right,none. therefore float:center does not do anything. u should change it to float: none;
