    Hi everyone, there's something with tables that has always been bothering me, I don't know wether there is a solution for this but here's an example of the problem:

    a simple table with 2 columns and just 1 row
    HTML Code:
    <table border="0" summary="">
    	<tr>
    		<td>I want this text on the top left</td>
    		<td>Some large chunk of text.</td>
    	</tr>
    </table>
    Now as you can see in the table I want the text in the left cell to stay in the top left of the cell, even if there is a large chunk of text on the right cell which usually makes the text in the left cell center itself. Does anyone has a solution for me?

    In your first td tab, add valign="top"

    To produce
    HTML Code:
    <table border="0" summary="">
    	<tr>
    		<td valign="top">I want this text on the top left</td>
    		<td>Some large chunk of text.</td>
    	</tr>
    </table>

    Other settings that may help...

    <table border="0" summary="">
    <tr>
    <td align="left" valign="top" nowrap>I want this text on the top left</td>
    <td>Some large chunk of text.</td>
    </tr>
    </table>

    Using nowrap means the page will look to CSS for the answer.

    Code:
    When present, this boolean attribute tells visual user agents to disable automatic text wrapping for this cell. Style sheets should be used instead of this attribute to achieve wrapping effects. Note. if used carelessly, this attribute may result in excessively wide cells.
