    Hey,

    I am using a background image that I only want to appear once. At the moment it is appearing to "loop" See attached screenshot. The highlighted turquoise box is where the background is appearing where it is suppossed to be. Further down the page it is re-appearing and I dont want it to. The highlighted red box is where the background is looping. How do I stop this happening?

    I have tried to include a class that clears the background with a white background but it is not blocking out all the background.

    .clearBackground
    {
    background-image:url(img/background_repeat2.gif);
    background-repeat: repeat-x;
    }

    This is the code for the background image:

    #middlecontent
    {
    float: left;
    width: 476px;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    background-image:url(img/backcolour_1.jpg);
    }

    Have you tried using:
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    ?
