    G'day People,

    My question is about my webpage, makapia.com, and it has to do with the video setup in the center section. I have several videos that I would like to display, and was wondering if there was a way that I could cycle them, so that each time someone visits the page, they get a different video, random or not.

    My past experiences have taught me that this might be solved by Java instead of core code, but I figured I'd try here first. Thanks.

    I would think that you could use cookies for this. I personally have never used cookies, but I know that they are for storing information on the user's computer. I would think that you could store a cookie in their computer holding the number of times they've visited the site, and choose your video based on that.
    Here are some links about cookies that I thought looked useful:

    I would suggest using javascript to do that..
    do it via client side scripting..
    this is just a simple random javascript function if you want to remember
    which video someone has seen then you could use cookies with javascript..

    Code:
    <script language="JavaScript">
    <!--
    function random_imglink(){
    var myimages=new Array()
    myvideos[1]="../media/movies/yoga1.wmv"
    myvideos[2]="../media/movies/yoga2.wmv"
    myvideos[3]="../media/movies/yoga3.wmv"

    var ry=Math.floor(Math.random()*myvideo.length)
    if (ry==0)ry=1

    document.write('<div align="center">
    <object classid="clsid:6BF52A52-394A-11D3-B153-00C04F79FAA6"
     height="200" width="300" name="Laughing_Yogi">
    <param name="cache" value="true" />
    <param name="controller" value="false" />
    <param name="autoplay" value="true" />
    <param name="controls" value="ImageWindow" />
    <param name="autostart" value="true" />
    <param name="src" value="'+myimages[ry]+'"  />
    <embed height="200" name="Laughing_Yogi" src="'+myvideos[ry]+'"
    type="video/x-msvideo" width="300" controls="ImageWindow"
    autostart="true" autoplay="true" controller="false" cache="true">
    </embed>
    </object></div>')

    }
    random_imglink()
    //-->
    </script>
