Hello everyone, before i start i'd like to say that I don't even know if this is the right place to post in. That said I'll go ahead with my question. I created a exact topdown view of a stadium for the company I work for in Flash. I made the stadium with the purpose in mind that people would be able to go online and view where they would be sitting by choosing a seat and/or section. I am not a programmer whatsoever, i'm a design guy (I know you have probably heard this a 1000 times) and what I need to know is how do I set up the document so that the programers can extrapolate the data and do their thing? Am I going to need to add a sizeable amount of actionscript or will most of it be done on the programmers side? What kind of programming should they even use?

I was thinking that I would have to give each seat/section that was clickable an ID number that would later be used by the programmers in whatever language they used. Thing is how would they call that ID number up from within the language from the flash document? I don't think any of them are familiar with flash so it is up to me to help them trhough that step so that they can program the rest of it. If anyone could give me some insight on how this might be accomplished or maybe any sort of tutorial that might help me learn about this it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for your time :knockedout:

Not sure where XML fits into the question, but... this sounds like a question to ask your boss. I would say if your boss wants something designed in Flash, then the programmer should know ActionScript. He or she should be able to take your file "and do their thing." Well defined IDs would be smart and polite. If the programmers do not know Flash, then you would be responsible for the ActionScripting (though really, that seems odd because that's the programmer's job).

I have an eye for detail like you'd never believe.
