    hey people,

i've been meaning to learn how to implement one of those free e-mail script thing but haven't got round to it yet. I now have to design a site for a few b and b's in scotland and they want a form for visitors to e-mail them some details.

can anyone suggest some links for php and asp free scripts (preferably with some sort of breif explanation/tutorial).

any links would be helpfull, i've found a few through google but was just wondering if anyone knew of any sites out there that stand out.

    cheers

Agreed, most people disable javascript for security reasons and to protect their PCs from malicious scripts and all.

looking for some help on dealing with a client. They are wanting me to include a javascript side show for their site(which i'm designin for FREE to build up my portfolio) and they want rolling text(which i think will look bad???).

I'm just trying to offer a simple professional looking site and this is my first proper job. any tip on how to deal with it?? do i stick with what i think is best or try what they ask.

they want their sitee to look like another (done in asp and xml) and i said that i couldn't do this as i'm offering a simple HTML/CSS site.

do i stick to my guns???

    cheers:nervous:

Well they know that you are offering a HTML/CSS site already, so if they are happy enough to go along with it, I would stay with the project, IMO.

With the rolling text, I say if they want it, give it to them.

Yes it looks bad but the premise is on you to do as requested.

Doesnt sound like there was a pre contract?

cheers man, is there anyother way of achiving a slide show and rolling text without using javascript????

don't really want to get dragged into a really big project seeing as this is my 1st one. I understand that they will want to get the best webisite from me seeing as it is free but i want to keep it simple.

    cheers 4 the tips

ps. there was no pre contract
