    If your CSS receives warnings but no errors in the validator does that mean it has validated and you can use the W3C CSS logo?

    The W3C FAQs and help are about as helpful as a kick in the crotch.

    What does that tell you

    Congratulations!

    Valid CSS! This document validates as CSS!

    To show your readers that you've taken the care to create an interoperable Web page, you may display this icon on any page that validates. Here is the XHTML you could use to add this icon to your Web page:

    <p>
    <a href="http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/">
    <img style="border:0;width:88px;height:31px"
    src="http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/images/vcss"
    alt="Valid CSS!" />
    </a>
    </p>

    (close the img tag with > instead of /> if using HTML <= 4.01)

    If you like, you can download a copy of this image to keep in your local web directory, and change the XHTML fragment above to reference your local image rather than the one on this server.

    If you would like to create a link to this page (i.e., this validation result) to make it easier to re-validate this page in the future or to allow others to validate your page, the URI is:

    http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/v...ad.php?t=23619
    or http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/check/referer (for HTML/XML document only)

    (Or, you can just add the current page to your bookmarks or hotlist.)

    To work as intended, your CSS style sheet needs a correct document parse tree. This means you should use valid HTML.
    Looks pretty clear to me :ermm:

    You know how helpfull I said W3C FAQs were..?

    That's about how helpfull you're being.

    Now. All I did was ask a simple question, to which I have been given conflicting answers in the past. I thought this might be the right place to come if I wanted a clear cut answer.

    Was I right or wrong?

    Which I used the W3C validation page to answer you

    I'm not sure what else you want...

    "does that mean it has validated" YES
    "you can use the W3C CSS logo?" YES

    Clearly, if you would have read the validator you would have come to the same conclusion I did :ermm:

    Now, It does not say It's validated but it doesn't say it Hasn't either. I have asked a few ppl if this means Yes or No and have been given conflicting answers.

    Seems like it dones't give you that first paragraph like I had if you don't have it online with you html ...

    I think this is the hint

    To work as intended, your CSS style sheet needs a correct document parse tree. This means you should use valid HTML

    So It would apper that it HAS validated..?

    Does that mean then, that I should try again when the thing is actually live so it can see the Parse tree?
