Is there any way to add a simple search function to a website without going through a company like Wordpress for the service?

    It depends:

1: Search by what? (filename, data [files or databases).
2: What technologies you have available.

However, there was a similar thread not long ago which yielded a interesting link, using JavaScript.. lemme go get it...

I'd like it to be by keyword. Like most websites have. I'll check out that Java code, it looks pretty cool. Thanks!
