    then i tryed:

    It is a pain, as <object> is thge standard, but IE has it'sown ugly variant of <object>, giving it a classid

    Read: http://webtips.dan.info/sounds.html

    This code worked for me in Firefox and Opera, although in Opera, a mini control appeared (stop, play, pause, and a horizontal bar to scroll the song needle).

    HTML Code:
    <object type="audio/x-mpeg" data="1.mp3"></object>
    And this works in IE

    HTML Code:
    <object classid="clsid:22D6F312-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95">
    		<param name="filename"  value="1.mp3">
    </object>
    Good luck.

    I hate websites with music... Ask around, lots of us do.

    One to think about.
    No ma'am, we in IT don't have a sense of humor we're aware of.
