    On the page www.webtossup.com/htmlcss.html you will see that the page displayes as it should in Firefox. There is a 50px margin, and the background color is dark blue. In IE, although there is still a margin although there is no border like there is supposed to be. also, the blue background is hardly even visible. How can I make the border in IE so it looks the same as Firefox?

    You shouldn't really be putting a border on the body, instead use a div, and wrap it around your content

    HTML Code:
    <div id="wrapper">

        <!-- your content here -->
    </div>
    Then use the following CSS

    Code:
    body {
        background-color: #000066;
    }

    #wrapper {
        margin: 0px 50px;
        background-color: #FFF;
        /* if you are after the double border, uncomment the next line */
        /* border: 1px double #000066; */
    }
