Been trying to make a favicon for the first time - think I've finally got one but one problem - Firefox and Opera 9 read this favicon but not IE 6 or 7 on PC nor netscape or Safari on MAC.

    http://www.enhancedwireless.net/index.html

(should be a 16x16 IW in an orange box)

If you have IE 6/7 or Safari can you see it?

    Any thoughts on a fix?

    Thanks much

I don't see it in IE. Have you tried deleting the / in front of the filename.

Thanks for the thoughts - I just took the / out - don't know if that helped but it's out...the attachments show the problem - pic 1 is what it looks like on Safari, pic 2 other browsers except IE 6/7 where I can't get it to work either...

I've got IE 7 beta 3 and I can't see it - just a blue ball...how do you clear the cache in IE? I'm mostly a mac guy. Any other settings on IE 7 I should play with? I got it to work on MAC netscape by clearing the cache, but no matter what I do, Safari isn't displaying it...

For safari had to trash all folders in users/safari/library/icons and restart G5 and now safari displays my new favicon...all other browsers now work as well after clearing their cache.
