a bit of browser conflict...

Hey,

I'm currently developing a new part of my site... the whole thing and ive come across a problem...

My site displays fine in Firefox V1.5 and Opera... but as usual not Internet explorer...

I haven't looked through the code that much, but some observations:

• You are using valid markup and style
• In your CSS, you're not using any selectors that IE doesn't support
• I have a hunch you're using floats without proper clearing (or, more accurately, using floats correctly and not using some clearing hack for IE)

clearing hack !?!

you mean like in my css...

As a note i see no problum with your page... renders fine for me

My favourite IE hack is the _ (underscore), `cos it`s easy for me to remember.....

all the css compliant browsers ignore the _ , but lovely IE6 still reads and executes it

.test { width:500px;
_width:480px;
background-image:compliant.png;
_background-image:non_compliant.png;
}

you get the idea

and it`s easy to search for and kill off whenever IE7 comes around (well, not kill off, just put into a 'conditional comment'.
