    Hi, Will anyone of you please help me to understand how to design a LHS navigation menu. I have searched the net since 2 days and even though i have got some idea of how to do it, i am yet to come across an example in which i can design the menu as well as write the content.
    I have tried it some times and though i am able to add the horizontal menu with header and content i am not able to do it for the vertical menu. If i design it, the the content comes below the menu like this:
    link1
    link2
    link3
    The content of the website comes here. No matter what i do i am unable to take it up to the right position.

    Will any of you good people out there please write me a short code or direct me to it, from where i can understand it better?
    Thanks in advance

    This might help: http://www.tanfa.co.uk/css/examples/...down-menus.asp

    Or are you talking about floating the right margin and having the content start just to the right of the first menu item?

    If you create a container div for the content, and float the vertical list inside it (contained in its own div) to the left, then the text should wrap around it instead of appearing underneath.

    Try something like this:

    Code:
    <div id='maincontent'>
    <div id='navigation'>
    *list goes here*
    </div>
    page content goes here
    </div>
    For the CSS, just add the property [minicode]float: left;[/minicode] to the navigation div.

    And don't forget to clear when you're done

    I have an eye for detail like you'd never believe.
