    Hi All,

Im trying to validate one of my web pages using the W3C validator. All of it validates perfectly except the flash object.

Does anyone know how to make a flash object validate?

Do I have to declare it somehow?

the page can be found at:

    http://www.whichtakeaway.com/test/newsite/index.htm

you can test the validity by clicking the w3c button at the bottom right of the page.

    thanks

Don't you have to use the <object> element for that now? Here's what I found when I googled for validating flash objects

All of yoru issues seem to be unessessarry spaces in your markup. If you take them out it should validate fine..

As a side note. I used to preach all about validation about two years ago but I found the stress of playing 'wack-a-mole' with your code in order for it to perfectly validate is both time consuming and psychotic since most issues that wont pass validation would not affect how the page is rendered or used. Or maybe im just getting lazy..

As a note: Having said that I feel validation should be used as a tool to help you diagnose a larger problem such as incorrect rendering or from using proporitry/drpeciated markup that will not work in all browsers.
