    I'm designing a website, and I'm having problems with the opacity.

    I have a background image set with CSS (using body) and I have a div with a white background, but I want that white background to have an 85% opacity. I've put in the following CSS in for this:

    Code:
    #content {
        padding: 10px 2.5px 2.5px 10px;
        background: white;
        filter:alpha(opacity=85);
        opacity: 0.85;
        -moz-opacity: 0.85;
    }
    This works fine in every browser but IE. I've read that the filter:alpha is supposed to ad opacity in IE, but it doesn't (and every website with a preview of it also doesn't work in IE).

    Can anyone help me get proper opacity in IE?
