If someone says "Use CSS... Its so much easier and better." you will look like this :dead: hehe

Anyway i am making a phpBB 2 skin and using tables to format the data. Why tables? Its part of the default layout. phpbb 3 is coming out soon and as phpBB 2 and 3 skins probably won't be compatible it seems like a waste of time to make a complex CSS skin which will only be used for a couple of months.

    Anyway here is my problem...
    	<th colspan="2" class="thCornerL" height="25" nowrap="nowrap">&nbsp;{L_FORUM}&nbsp;</th>
    	<th width="50" class="thTop" nowrap="nowrap">&nbsp;{L_TOPICS}&nbsp;</th>
    	<th width="50" class="thTop" nowrap="nowrap">&nbsp;{L_POSTS}&nbsp;</th>
    	<th class="thCornerR" nowrap="nowrap">&nbsp;{L_LASTPOST}&nbsp;</th>
Is there anyway i can put a background image across all 4 <th> tags without using colspan? I want to keep the structure of the table and stretch an image across all of the rows.

I tried wrapping it in a div but it just wasn't happening.

Is that in a table on its own? Tried giving the table a background image?

Could you put it on the <tr>?

The surefire-but-messy way is to slice your image and put them in each <th>

I have an eye for detail like you'd never believe.
