    Someone pl. suggest me how to embed video. I FEEL - windows media file format is best, as mediaplayer is built-in with windows platform, so there is no need to download any plugin. Pl. suggest the right format

    the "src" here is my local file, you can replace that with a relative link or an absolute link "http://somesite.com/video.wmv"

    Code:
    <embed type="application/x-mplayer2" pluginspage="http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/MediaPlayer/" src="testfilm.wmv" width=320 height=310 name="MediaPlayer" autostart="True" ShowStatusBar=1 ShowControls=1 >
    </embed>

    I came across the same thing too, I decided on using google video. It's gauranteed to work on blogs and uses flash which is the most popular video medium on the web. But, either way embed flash!

    Google video will also cross convert all kinds of movie types.

    Use Flash, use flash! Flash will be supported if nothing else isn't in the future thanks to youtube.
