Hello not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I think it is.
I was wondering if anyone could help me please
I have a website in flash, but I want to either convert it to HTML
and/or I need a form that someone on the website can fill in and when submitted it will be sent to me. I dunno how to do this never mind how to put in a flash website. That is why I dont mind making it an HTML website.

Please can someone help. I would really appriciate it!

Please get in contact on here or email me on robsonbrown@gmail.com

    Thanks
    Stephen

You'll want to look into either PHP or a mailform CGI script. Most webhosts have a basic mailform CGI script that lets you submit a form to it and send an email that way.

PHP you'll have to code yourself. There are several tutorials in the Tutorials section here at WDF and many threads about it. Just search. For a Perl mailform script, it varies, and instructions come with the script. Generally you point your form to it and pass in a couple of useful variables like who to email it to or somesuch.

    RBM ....

First, create an HTML form that displays the text boxes and things on a page.
Name, email, address ... etc. and then a submit button at the bottom.

Once you have that done, upload it someplace and give us the link.

You will be able to. Don't worry.

PHP is much easier to learn than imagined. People get scared at the idea of a programming language, but no, it's quite easy. If you can do actionscript in Flash, you can learn PHP in no time.

And I suggest you to make it yourself. It's not hard, we're all available if you need help, and soonafter you'll learn a lot more.

As for Flash to HTML conversion, that depends on how your site is like. Dynamic? Games? Animations?
Note on code: If I give code, please note that it is simply sample code to demonstrate an effect. It is not meant to be used as-is; that is the programmer's job. I am not responsible to give you support or be held liable for anything that happens when using my code.

    mlseim,

I know this article is almost 2 years old but I never saw that RBM posted his form to see it get finished. I am at the same spot as he was, can you help if I give you a link to a form I created?

Also if you have an .aspx website would the form need to be in .php or does .aspx have a way of doing it?

    Thanks in advance

If you have ASP, you program with ASP.
I'm really know nothing about ASP.

Give us the link to your form and we can try a PHP script.
I'm not sure what will happen if you don't have an Apache Server.
