    Wondering if someone can point me in the right direction.

    Building a web page with a form on it that will access and search someone else's database for results. That someone else sent me certain information that would be necessary to access the xml feed, including the necessary login info etc. (I mean we have their permission and all that good stuff)

    Since this other company has no documentation at all other than what they sent me, I need to know exactly how to build my form input fields to work with the xml info I've been given. I've never had to do this particular type of work with a form before and I'm completely new at working with xml as well.

    What else would you all need to know to be get me started?
    Thanking you all in advance!

    hmm, sounds a bit tricky and also risky on the legal front, make sure that you have written permission signed and witnessed prior to starting this venture.

    no no no it's nothing like that - my boss has asked me to implement the search on our page because he and the other company have signed all the appropriate agreements with each other but unbelievably the other company has no documentation on how to tie in with their database - we are an afilliate and they have no code to give me except for the barest minn and I am expected to know the rest... That is all it is.

    I suggest running through some tutorials before you go any further,.

    And if you give us an example, such as

    sample.xml
    Code:
    <!-- this is the xml i have to interact with -->
    <book>
       <title>catch 22</title>
    </book>
    we can then help with your field names.
