    I have no idea how to make the sides of my website expand with the rest of the page.

    Here is what I coded first
    http://www.wortheffort.com/new/finished/

    Then I made the contents boxes expand to text...

    http://www.wortheffort.com/new/side/
    http://www.wortheffort.com/new/side/style.css

    Now I am having problems making the sides expand to the height of the page I know in that example I have them set to 1400px but if I set it to 100% or auto they just vanish.

    Is there anyway I can fix this?

    And im quite new at coding tableless so sorry for the mess .

    ty for all you help

    I got it to work using the overflow:hidden command and setting the sides to a height 10000 and using the footer as the end and anything after that to be hidden.

    You need to be a bit careful though. What you're doing is practically a hack, and a browser out there might have trouble with your method. If you want to be compete, test it in the following browsers:
    * IE6 - test throughly for box model, test with different font sizes
    * IE7 - similar test to IE6
    * Firefox
    * Opera
    * Safari
    * Konqueror (however you spell it)

    Edit: save my face a bit
    Note on code: If I give code, please note that it is simply sample code to demonstrate an effect. It is not meant to be used as-is; that is the programmer's job. I am not responsible to give you support or be held liable for anything that happens when using my code.
