Alternatively, you can achieve this using Javascript. Either way works, though iframes can be a little tricky for search engines, and Javascript typically won't show up at all.

    thanks mates,

i was searching and i see how <iframe> works but do i have to make the movie an url? b/c that is what i was wanting to avoid, i just want it to load on the url opened

so this is the only way to call up a flash movie?

Your "URL" that you're talking about with your <iframe> can also be a PHP script.

With that, the PHP script that is opening in the <iframe> actually is loading and
displaying the flash movie ... similar to a PHP script that is processing a .jpeg image
    inside of an iframe.

I am recommending <iframe> because some people turn-off Javascripting ...
    because of pop-up Javascript stuff.

This might be better explained if you made a website with a video embedded
into it ... and gave us the link. I could then use your page for an example of
using a PHP script within an inline frame <iframe>. Provide just a test page
    with your video on it.

But I would argue that if they have Flash turned on, they probably have JS turned on, too

It looks like all of the flash players I've found (the free ones) already
have and utilize Javascripting for the activation.

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&s...er&btnG=Search

So, Shadowfiend is correct ... you'll want to use Javascripting anyhow.

the flash movie , isnt really a movie clip, sorry maybe i referred to it wrongly,

its more like a gallery i created in flash ... and i want to have a set of html links .. and i click one link on that url page .. and it opens a new gallery on that url page.. etc etc....
